(?)  your time  (Cant make out the first words in this line)
   This is your day

As this verse can be spoken to anyone to do this.... but also do you think this could be Spencers  message to Barry also in his song?      Thats what struck me about this song.   Terry

It belongs properly to the next Bee Gees box set, for Cucumber Castle / 2 Years On / Trafalgar, which is something I do not expect to see, ever. Joe Brennan Back to top

Mostly I find Bee Gees rarities on YouTube. Here's one that's been vexing me: https://youtu.be/YCJ9uZuNrEs It's called "Mind Over Matter," and dates back to 1981 or thereabouts. It's one of those songs that keeps trying to get stuck in my head good and proper, but never quite does. And why? No actual lyrics!! Barry is singing a songwriter's demo, which is meant to capture the essence of a song, with lyrics to be sorted out later. Here's the songwriting demo to a song you might know: https://youtu.be/PKZm-GjZc3I Since I have, from early childhood, turned "being SO annoying" into something of an art form, I keep this one handy. If I'm kept waiting and waiting and waiting for the county clerk to finally stop refilling his stapler and attend to my important question, I don't make throat clearing noises or tap my fingers or say "Excuse me??? Sir???" That just stresses me out. After all, I could just play that earworm of a songwriting demo instead! Admittedly, while standing at the clerk's window, I've never actually played the "He's a Liar--First Cast and Demo" (see link above). But it cheers me up to know that I could. The drum machine, Barry's nasal vocalising of guitar riffs... if Mahatma Gandhi had this song on a mobile device, he could have gained independence for India overnight! But... back to Mind Over Matter. This is much more pleasing to listen to, and almost... but not quite... has actual lyrics. If you can call "mumble mumble mumble apologize" an actual lyric. But then he sings "Youuuuuuuuur FACE!! yadada yadada leaaaaaaaves ME!! Brmff srrrrrn grmm summmmm!" ...and he sings it so well!! But not well enough to compel me to sing "brmff srrrrrn grmm summmmm!" while waiting for the bus. So, 38 years, more or less. With no lyrics. Is there any way to ask Barry and his kids to finish this one? Or should I just write my own lyrics for this?? Well... if you should run into Barry at some point, could you ask? Thanks. . David Garcia, who wishes he had the power of mind over matter to solve this in NYC .
