It’s weird. This has been a highly-respected rock band in Canada for 30 years. I suggest listening to the following: “Ahead By a Century,” =9CCourage,” “Long Time Running,” “New Orleans is Sinking” – Yasmine, can you suggest other classics? I don And watch the documentary @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ci2VnIk9AQI! Anne Back to top

We just roll our eyes at people who come to Canada in July with skis, right? And I didn’t know much about the Hip myself until the last concert that was broadcast in August 2016, either. I guess the impact of that show, and the tragedy of Downie’s illness and his strength in persevering with the tour despite his brain tumour And yes, the flag on Parliament Hill was lowered to half-mast. I learned the news of Gord’s death while driving to the US to visit my 96-yr-old aunt, and was tearing up half the time as the stations were playing nothing but the Hip. Strangely, I’ve found it painful to listen to Bee Gees music for some time now, but it’s always a part of me. Anne Back to top

And I confess your obligatory Bee Gees content escapes my (snow frozen) memory. Anne Back to top

I just found out more about them with the whole nation in mourning thing. So, I have no idea what songs would be worth listening to and am preparing to be run out of Canada. Yasmine, wondering if Trump will accept a refugee from Canada with a muslim sounding name (lol), in Vancouver On 2017-11-24 9:55 AM, Anne Simpson wrote: > > Don’t feel bad, David – not many Americans know about Canadian > culture; and for that matter, not too many Canadians know about their > own culture LOL!
