Subject: Re: Wow
Thanks Ann. Didn't Spielberg comment on this project? Was MGM involved? It's been a while.
Didn't Barry say Mo was concerned how he would be portrayed?
For the current project, it would be beneficial to have input from Molly, after all, she was present for many. If they only focus on the music then I guess I out is not needed from any of the wives.
If it's anything like Jersey Boys it will be good, but if it's akin to Motown with the whitewashing of Berry Gordy...

Thanks Ann for clarifying. Spielberg? I forgot about that one. That was
before Maurice passed away, right? This is from a 2005 article:
"The Bee Gees stage musical, You Win Again, is already in production with a
view to a 2006 premiere in the West End and on Broadway. The story, written
by writers and Bee Gee fans Sidney and Maurice Greenberg, centres on a love
affair between a model and a fashion designer, set to Bee Gees hits."

I think Robin could have done only so much. As always, without Barry's commitment it would not get done and there was never any information indicating Barry signing off on any of those previously proposed projects. Although, it looks like he's in.
I'm sorry, but I still get this nagging feeling that Barry became motivated to do things like this only after Robin died. Or to put it another way, he didn't want to do much with Robin. Perhaps because he didn't want to anything without Maurice? I don't k

I agree, Rob's hands were somewhat tied. Maybe Baz didn't want to do anything without Mo but I suppose the absence of Mo didn't matter after Rob died. He's quite busy now.
I don't know the scope of this project but if it's to cover their entire career, I don't think a live musical is ample time. But we shall see.
