"Living eyes, when under the sun, don't cry" to me is a fairly creative way to express the same sentiment found in many pop songs. Notable examples: "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying" and "Crying in the Rain". "Islands in the Stream" to me is a prime example of a Gibb song with a bunch of cliches thrown together with not much to tie them together. Different strokes...
