I was actually physically present for this show and because of the rainy weather and security, I ended up watching from a hotel rooftop nearby. I was thoroughly underwhelmed by the entire performance. The fireworks were much better!

I was present for this DC performance too, first row after the VIP section, and yes it was a rainy day until just before the concert started.
It was unusual hearing Robin sing songs where we were used to hearing all 3 brothers sing but I still admire Robin for getting up there and singing at a time when he was probably still in deep mourning over Maurice. I have lots of great memories from that
I am with you Bette, the fireworks were great and no such display I have seen has been as good since.
As for Robin at the Hollywood Bowl, it may have been only a song or two, much like A Capitol Fourth, and part of a tribute to the Beach Boys. If I can get on my laptop, I will be able to get the information about the 1960s performance I alluded to earlier

Hi Janel,
Thank you for the info.

Yes, I do remember now. I was thinking in terms of a full solo
concert. So that escaped my memory. Anyway my memory is not
what it was and I needed to google to refresh it! Robin was at
Hollywood Bowl on June 25, 2004 for the induction of Brian
Wilson to the Hall of Fame and he intoruduced Wilson
and sang How Deep Is Your Love.
And Marty,
> What are the details on Robins visit to Salt Lake City??
Robin performed on September 9, 2007 at a Nuskin convention in
SLC, and one of the list members happened to be in attendance.
Here are excerpts from his posts.

It's good to remember that Robin got a "5-minute standing
ovation."
Best,
