You're welcome Chris.
It's a good article. In many ways a typical Barry interview. He gives you some insights, even candid at certain moments. But as usual, diplomatic and somewhat vague. What frustrates me with Barry is that whenever he seems to be opening up about something
Barry's comments about Robin, as usual, catches your attention. He provided some insight in to what happened in the 70's, or as the 70's progressed. Namely, why Robin stepped back and Barry became the sole front man of the group. It seems it did revolve a
My take on Barry's comments were that Robin was a creative force in the 60's. but less so in the 70's as he "withdrew". Joe Brennan refers to this notion in his Gibb Songs and I think Joe has said similar things regarding that issue here on the list also.
Barry and Trump? Same age, just a few weeks apart. Barry has his graying and balding mane. Donald with his bouffant orange hue. Barry said he met him in the 90's and I guess found him charming. Perhaps all it took was for Trump to be charming to Barry and
In all seriousness, Barry should vote for whomever he likes. As should everyone. But, I must say I found Barry's comment in justifying his support for Trump that "you got to watch out for your family and protect your territory" very disappointing. I think

What B provides are HIS views and perception of situations. They do not correspond with some things I heard from R. I should probably say that for R the Bee Gees were the most important thing, and post 70 he'd done anything to keep the group and legacy in
On a personal note I fear that R would be really hurt to read some of B's comments. Regardless of what he really may have thought R would never say anything unpleasant about his brother in public.

Nor would Barry have said these things about Robin if he were still around....

It's so easy to speak ill of the dead. It reflects very poorly on Barry's
character.
"Keep playing, no matter how weird it gets."

It's called passive aggressive with a side order of dishonesty wrapped up
in Sunday swaddling, presented with a nice pretty bow. And no, I'm not just
referring to this interview. A while ago I took a little beat-down while
commenting on Barry's interviews. Given the political environment in the
States, I'm about take a beat-down for the next 8 years, so why start not
here. I'll repeat:
Special guest star on the Tonight Show, Barry Gibb, "Robin was a Bed Wetter
until the Age of 35!"
He never goes far enough.
When revealing his faults, no he doesn't.
Barry and Trump? Same age, just a few weeks apart. Barry has his graying
> and balding mane. Donald with his bouffant orange hue.
Another commonality between the two Greats; in the past both have skipped
out on paying their taxes!

He's taken plenty of pop shots at Robin when he was alive.
