Funky keyboard; Latin American style; laid back vocals. The hook is there: 'in my heart, in my soul, in the now'. Been singing it all day. You'll soon be, I'm sure. You need to suspend your subconscious that you'll be hearing Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees. With the Bee Gees existing when NV and MM came out it was more difficult to accept but of course it's now different. Whether the album is good throughly remains to be Julian Back to top

This may not be a popular opinion, but as I listened to the song, my first thought was: "Imagine that -- Andy Gibb's comeback single!" It genuinely sounds like Andy, not just vocally, but stylistically. The percussion, backing vocals, it is almost picking right up where the "After Dark" album left off. And I like the song a great deal, but my mind insists on categorizing it as a lost Andy Gibb song, despite my best efforts to think of it as Barry's solo comeback. Welcome back Andy! It's been too long... . David Garcia, who may just have to pre-order this album after all in NYC . Back to top

The song hasn't blown me away, but it's not bad. I haven't found a hook, so don't expect me to sing along. Personally, all songs don't have to have a hook. I like the unconventional unstructured song, not that I consider 'In The Now' unconventional. My fa Barry's vocals are in a sad state, have been for years.
