Robin's own management seems to have been afraid of it, even though they must have paid for the orchestra. Vic Lewis, swing band leader, was not ready for THAT. If, not too long after Saved by the Bell, the Stigwood company had not blocked Robin from recording, and if some other manager had been bold and visionary enough to release an album with HFW as the centerpiece of full-throttle Robin weirdness, what heights could Robin have reached? Would he have ever gone back to Bee Gees? > Another favorite from Rob from RR is Lord Bless All. What a beautiful > song. Oh the images... It's absolutely wonderful. I'm still on the fence about "snow filled firs" or "snow filled fens" vaguely filling my eyes, but I like ambiguity, so don't tell me. Joe Brennan Back to top

From an artistic viewpoint, I think Robin had the raw cre I think it's worth noting that Robin was trying to make his mark away from Barry, but I'm sure Robin still felt the competition. Although SBTB was successful, RR didn't yield the favorable commercial outcome that Robin sought. Had he been able to wrap his head around the notion that success can come in different forms, perhaps he would have remained solo for a bit longer, at least I'm not so sure Rob ever realized the depths of his raw talent. How sad that chart placement seemed to be the primary and driving criterion for their success. All of them, not just Robin. Kitt- Back to top
