"I can't say I was scared. I was terrified." Robin has always looked to me a little terrified on stage, deer (or rabbit?) in the headlights. And it's how he made his living. >From what I had read in the past, I thought the problem was that the audience were angry about getting only one Bee Gee, but that is not what I see here. They were certainly a bit fueled up, we might say, but overly enthusiastic about hearing Robin. The anger was disappointment after Robin ran off and they could NOT hear him. Crowd control was not up to modern standards, or anyway not up to what I am used to from New York city police, who are masters of crowd control. It was early for this kind of music festival. Did the swimmers include some of the women from the White Christians or whatever the name of that group was? Maybe I am mistaken. An idiot in the crowd near the end thought there were too many "jungle bunnies", a phrase I am happy to say I have not heard in years. The good ol' days, how I don't miss them. Thanks Kitt! I don’t recall seeing anything in the (music) press suggesting that. It could have done with a second big hit single. That might have been YSIML but a more likely candidate was Subway had it not Julian "Words & Music", Fans Of The Brothers Gibb ( Bee Gees ) http://www.brothersgibb.com Back to top

Robin has always said they threw a smorgasbord at him but I didn't realize they were throwing cans and bottles. As Stephanie Tanner would say "how rude". Followed with the two people that charged him I think Robin did well to Had it been I, by the time the party goers were waking up, I'd have been halfway across the Pacific. I've seen part of this footage before with him covering Mass. and Joke but I've never seen this much footage. I thought for a second that perhaps the term had a different meaning in NZ than it does in the states, but I doubt it.
