Vusi Mahlasela version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9Vnk0LLaXw Barry Gibb version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hnj3A0_K1Xg and the third version plays over the credits in the movie. It has Vusi for the first half and Barry for the second half with lots of clear Barry backing vocals. I just purchased and watched the DVD of The Hangman: Shepherds and Butchers and I got the following info from the credits: "Angels" Recording Studio HIT RECORD, DURBAN Producer John Ellis Engineered & Recorded by Brent Quinton Drums & Percussion Sidney Rash Other Instruments John Ellis Barry Gibb Vocals Recorded by John Merchant Surround Mix John Merchant, Red Door Studio, Nashville "Angels" Written by Barry Gibb, Ashley Gibb, Stephen Gibb Performed by Vusi Mahlasela with Barry Gibb Published by Crompton Songs (BMI) Gee Son Songs (BMI) and Tune O Matic Songs (BMI) All rights administered by Warner-Tamerlane Publishing Corp Barry Gibb appears courtesy of Columbia Records and Dick Ashby is in the "producers wish to thank" list. The good news is that the Rhino reissues of 1st, horizontal, idea and Odessa with all the bonus tracks are now available again. However, and this is where it's odd: ESP and HIgh Civilisation are still not available and neither is the one4all live album that was released in the Warner years box set. However One HAS been released but without the title track and ordinary lives VEry Best of hasn't been released THe Record and Ultimate HAVE been released but without most of the Warner tracks. ANd yet oddly the One tracks that are omitted from One DO appear here! Oddest of all....Greatest has been released WITH all the remixes FROM Rhino but missing.....Rest Your Love On Me. go figure. It has always been one of my favorites. This is a very nice rendition.   Its kind of hard to go wrong with this song. Im surprised it hasn't been covered more often by well known artists.   Sal       Sent from my T-Mobile 4G LTE Device   Back to top
