Subject: Spotify Update
Looks like ONE has now been added to the Bee Gees catalogue on
Spotify, after it disappeared when the deal with Rhino ended. But ESP
and High Civilisation are still not there and of course neither is
"The Warner Years".

I'm hoping to see what Capitol have in the way of physical releases...

The remix is really good......up to a point.....
Vocals sound crisper and more to the fore, as does the lead guitar. I
think there's a doubling up on the vocals.
BUT it all goes horribly wrong in the coda when Barry's falsetto line
is quite a bit late. Somehow the remixer has managed to paste in that
track several milli-seconds late. It sounds terrible and I can't
believe it got released like that. Such a shame....

We will never know if it was deliberate.... or a tech error.
The "problem" with "remixes" is that those of us so familiar with the original intent of the artist, are, when faced with a remix, at the mercy of the personal preferences of the person whose hands are on the controls...

I am pretty sure it is a clipping error. You can hear it in the second coda

Remember when on the "THE RECORD" compilation, the first two piano notes of LONELY DAYS were clipped? Also the same set that had a UK SET with Barry singing all leads on HOW CAN YOU MEND A BROKEN HEART and GUILTY was mixed really low. That was a bad set

With the quality of today's digital editing workstations, there is no excuse for out of time "copy and pastes"....
Hmmm
