Subject: Barry Gibb on Piers Morgan and Twitter
Just my thoughts on the interview that was aired in the UK on Friday night.
I actually don't like Piers Morgan - never have done. However, in
this interview, Barry was at his most relaxed I've ever seen him. He
really seemed to get on with the interviewer and therefore offered a
lot more than the typical stuff we've heard time and time again.
I took to twitter after the show to see what others felt. I must have
read at least a couple of hundred tweets and couldn't see a single
negative comment. There were two or three that tried to 'take the
mick' but they weren't nasty. The genuine theme was: What a talent he
is! What a down-to-earth guy! We all loved the Bee Gees etc....
I compared this to the comments after the Royal Variety Performance a
few weeks ago, which were bordering on hurtful. (Admittedly that
probably wasn't the best performance I've heard from him recently).
Make no mistake Barry did himself a lot of good with this interview. A lot!
