In the ending to "To Love Somebody," the song fades out on repeated chorus, "You don't know what it's like," etc. Between the first and second of those we have Robin's dramatic, high pitched "ohhhhhhh, whoa nooo"" somwwhere around high F# I should imagine. Contrast this with the last notes of "I Started a Joke," which finishes up with "the joke was on meee--eeee--eeee--eeee... OHHHHHHH (high G and descending) no..." It is in his nature to also toss in another oh no or two after the phrase "but I didn't see" when performing live. Plus in various other songs, such as "King of Fools," among others. But could someone else have micbombed an "oh no" on stage just to be annoying? Micbombing his trademark "oh no" the way Bernard Cumbernatch photo bombed the Merryl Steep photo at the Golden Globes? Anything is possible, but... who would dare? David Garcia, who can match Robin Gibb's high G note for note but only if his sinuses allow in NYC On Jan 20, 2015 9:19 PM, "Dr GEORGES HADDAD" wrote: > > Very fumny...i think she might be talking about I started a Joke > > > Sent from my Verizon Wireless 4G LTE smartphone > > > -------- Original message -------- > From: Pam Adams via words > Date:01/20/2015 8:39 PM (GMT-05:00) > To: words List Member > Subject: [words] words@brothersgibb.com message digest 01/20/2015 03:01 (#2015-520) > > Love it, David! Sorry. I actually forgot. I've been listening to them all night. I had to go back and listen--that's what happens when you work all night with no sleep. To Love Somebody. I can hear it with headphones and without--of course it could be in my head. Lol. Thanks. >> Back to top
