In fact, no posts at all from this list showed up yesterday. Sounds like a problem to me. -- :-) Pat Wong --------------------------------------------------------- "Drugs? Love is the drug!!! I forwarded this yesterday and still haven't seen it on the list. I sent Bernie Quayle a note a few days ago inquiring about the Bee Gees interview CD's and received this response. If anyone is interested in purchasing either or both of these, I would personally recommend that you fax your credit card information, rather than sending it via e-mail, as it is much safer that way. Read on, if you'd like to know how to get these CD's: > Hello Pat,Thank you for your enquiry about the Bee Gees programme. However, I don't dislike every single cover version. For example, I think Diana Ross does an outstanding job on Chain Reaction and Steps' version of Tragedy is terrific, to name just two. However, there are certain songs, HDIYL being one (and it's my absolute favorite), that I don't think I'd ever be happy with any other artist's version. Just my 2 cents. -- :-) Pat Wong --------------------------------------------------------- "Drugs? Love is the drug!!! However, I don't dislike every single cover version. >> Hi Pat: I agree. Furthermore, I think it would be rather foolish to declare jealousy as the reason for not liking the way someone sings another's song. Everyone has different reasons for liking/disliking a particular version of a song, but certainly not because of the jealousy factor. It just so happens that some artists prove themselves according to the song they're singing. Personally, I especially love the way Gary Morris sings "Wind Beneath My Wings" (Henley/Silbar) as opposed to Bette Midler and yet her version is what most of know. I'm glad that other artists choose to sing the Bee Gees; its a compliment to them to know their music can be adapted so well.
