Yes you are very lucky to be anywhere the Bee Gees are. I wonder if he changes for any other reason. I read somewhere he tunes his guitar according to Hawaiian tuning, whatever that is. I love Robin and his music, but that blue cover with him dressed in that red guard's uniform, it looks silly. He deserved a far better reco d cover than this. Although the music is why I buy an album, I do like it more if the front cover is done nicely. Not to put down Robin, I loved the covers off his "How Old Are You?" and "Walls Have Eyes", the latter which has some nice pictures of him looking very sharp and well dressed. Concerning the BEST Bee Gees record cover, I love the covers for "One" and "Still Waters". One a collage of their faces in b/w, and the other a sepia gold that gives them this aura of classicism. Whoever the photographer was did an admirable job. I also love the playful artwork off the "High Civilization" album, mixes the images of the Bee Gees with the world portrayed in hi-tech chips and such. I can't wait to see what cover they use for their next album. Probably the one used for the medley has more of an accoustic sound. Those different color guitars are his Barry Gibb Guild Specials! After attending the concert I rang Ch 9 Australia to ask if it was available on video. They said there were no plans to make it commercially available. I also spoke to Jacobsen Entertainment who said the same thing. Jacobsen Ent also pointed out that the Brothers have the final say in video and cd sales. The only way to get a copy (at present anyway) is to get someone in Aust to tape it for you or swap with someone. What happened to him? Did > he follow onto another group? Clem Cattini - He's legendary in British music circles being the leader of the Tornados (big hit with "Telstar" - Joe Meek production, Joe B! note this further to recent discussions) he's probably the most respected British session drummer of all time and he's still at it. Interestingly enough - that's NOT his picture on the inner gatefold of "To Whom..." Is anybody out there willing to attempt to name everybody on the inner of that album The next year was famed studio drummer was > Jim Keltner (who also played on many Harry Nillson albums). Keltner was also in the Plastic Ono Band if I recall correctly together with Yes drummer Alan White (who currently share Left Bank as management with the BGs). Wasn't he also a Flying Burrito Brother? I Know Sneaky Pete Kleinow was. (I have a blank tape ready). The telecast tonight will only be an hour than a half (less commercial breaks) not the full two hours. My guess is they will leave out all the newer songs, e.g. One, For whom the bell tolls, Closer than close, You win again, that seems to be what always happens!! darn .. It's a good time to telecast this, being a holiday weekend Phyll ------------------------------ End words Digest (06/14/1999 06:00) ***********************************
