Date: Fri, 26 Apr 2019 12:31:53 -0400 From: David Garcia <garcia10303@gmail.com> Subject: Robert Stigwood -- The Musical (perhaps) https://youtu.be/I3Ri5dXKffw Apparently, there is a biography of Robert Stigwood that I just learned of today, while watching old clips of Australian tv on YouTube. They interview the writer. At the end he mentions that his agent is fielding interest in a documentary and a mini-series. And I'm thinking... How about Robert Stigwood the Musical? Would that even work? A musical about a guy who produced musicals? The YouTube clip --not a musical, just an interview of the biographer -- features lots of music, lots of drama. The high point is when Barry insists Robert join them on stage to accept their award with them. Has anyone here read the book? It's called, appropriately enough... "Mr Showbiz." At the end of it, the co-anchor of the news segment says about Stigwood, "Doesn't he have a real Australian face?" They all agree that he did. . David Garcia, who might buy the book, but then may get tempted to start writing Robert Stigwood interview parodies again in NYC . Back to top
