I thought he moved to Miami AND I thought he lived on Man prior to moving to the states. Maybe he purchased this home when MC took off then decided to permanently relocate to Miami. Yup, that's sounds good, therefore I'm going with it. The back of the house, outside, reminds me of Southfork; you know, the home of the Ewings. I visited Southfork back in 2002, it's actually quite quaint, but beautiful. I am confused as when he could have bought the property.  He might have had it during their '60s sucess but then surely would have sold it when their fortunes waned.  I think you are right and he must have bought it after Main Course but in that case did not own the house for very long since he sold it in '76.  And I thought the story was that he lived in Miami ever since the MC days.  I guess there was a short period, a year or two, where he was not sure if he was going to stay in Miami and so held onto the house? Of course the author could have thought Barry moved to L.A. Or perhaps his editor mistakenly slipped in L.A.??? I've never heard of Barry owning a house in this location in the 60s. Robin did manage to hold onto his home in the London suburbs (while his siblings took refuge on Man lol) and I assume he paid his taxes. Who knows?
