We do not know how this came about between Barry and Darin-we were not there nor were we in Darin's mind to determine why he entered the contest. Please let this be and be happy for DRI and Barry and Darin. ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 27 Oct 2007 06:21:56 +0900 (KST) From: "Robert Stigwood" Subject: Re: Robin Interview from Hard Talk (October 25, 2007) It's inconvenient to download RAs or RMs and convert them to AVIs or MPGs. So presumably, Virgin radio runs a competion that gives the winner a = prize of =A320k, if his/her celebrity is voted most popular. Virgin = also gives a further =A310k to the charity of the winner's celebrity's = choice. If I'm right, then it's Virgin's rules. And had any of the other = contestants won, a similar outcome would have occurred. If I'm right, then why are people talking as if Darrin stole =A320k off = of Diabetes research? If I'm right, then Virgin radio (or more likely its sponsors) stumped up = =A330k. Sure, it would have been nicer had the split between the winner and the = celebrity's charity had been the other way around, but you can't knock = Darrin for entering a competition, which would at the same time make = some money for a very worthwhile cause. It's almost as if the poor guy's now being bullied into having to spend = his winnings in the way this mail-list prefers. Charity should never = work this way. kilburn towers ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 26 Oct 2007 23:42:10 +0100 From: "Robin Setty" Subject: Barry, after he won!
