I mean, I know generally what I like best in music and what really doesn't float my boat at all, but I refuse to pass judgment on this or any other album before I've even heard it! When the album is released, listen to it without any pre-conceived notions based on what you've heard about it or what you think you'll like or dislike. Only then can you decide whether it meets with your approval or not. | I don't know if you read my post the way I intended it to be. I for | instance, said I'd certainly buy the album, no matter what. I just stressed | that if the remakes Robin is planning on his new album are anything like | his version of Islands in The Stream on the Record, i'll most certainly | dislike them, ~8^) Pat Wong (ICQ #61070813) http://www.napathon.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------------- "Downtown New York City, baby. If not, here it is. It was asked that this not be posted on any public web sites. -snip- -snip- "ROBIN" Robin Gibb will release his first solo album in 18 years, called "Robin", early next year. The album contains songs written by Robin, some Bee Gees tracks and songs from writers who sent him material over the past few months. "Robin" was produced in London and Los Angeles by Deacon Smith, whose recent credits include K-CI & JoJo & Mary J Blige. This exciting new album has a great contemporary r&b feel and Robin's voice sounds terrific. A first single off the album, "Please", will be sent to radio in UK this December , and will be in shops around January 13 (stc). The release of album and single will be supported by TV appearances, and everyone will be advised of air dates in due time. Once the release dates for single and album in other countries are confirmed those will be passed on as well. We can all help Robin crack the top 10 by pre-ordering the single at our local record shops a few weeks before its release and give radio stations positive feedback each time they play it. http://www.brothersgibb.com Bee Gees News and Information ------------------------------ End words@brothersgibb.com Digest [10/14/2002 00:02] ----------------------------------------------------
