Naturally you'd think they'd work similar to your own family. I am the 3rd child in a family of four siblings (3 sisters, 1 brother), and I can tell you, that we argue like cats & dogs sometimes, but I think they longest we have gone without talking is a 1/2 day. Actually we don't even "make up" as such sometimes, we just continue on as if nothing happened. We stick together, because we are the only one's we can count on. Maybe it is because we have great parents, and maybe it is due to the treatment we received in the music industry over the last 12 years. I don't know. All families are different. Just let the Gibbs do their thing. Buy the record. Love them a little more. Per said it splendidly: "Well, after 40 years a (very succesfull) group I find it understandable if they want to try out something different." -- Julie ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 05 Oct 2002 18:00:10 -0700 From: "Christine Secrist" Subject: I need URL to FTP site Would someone please post the URL for the FTP site? I am letting them do their thing and I will most certainly be buying anything that will come in the future. That is not the point I am trying to make. Let's pretend that this Robin album isn't coming, take it out of the equation. You can even apply this to any musical group of your liking: It is just when someone says that they only had one falling-out during their 45 years as performers is perhaps disillusional. They will most certainly be bickering among the members about this and that during a long career as theirs. This doesn't mean I think they will split up as they did in 69. The lack of success in the early- to mid-70's would have ignited some tension in the group. Mo was looking for the bottom of the bottle, Robin was popping his pills and Barry certainly enjoyed his weed. I would think that the Living Eyes period is another of these occasions with the Bee Gees team going of in two directions. Barry, Albhy and Karl on one side and Robin and Maurice on the other. Not so much personal but at least professional or maybe a little of both? They are family, sure enough, and that is probably what keeps them glued together no matter what happens. Just don't say that they *never* had a fight after 1970. Just my 2 cents...
