I just wanted to announce (with Chris' permission) that earlier this week, I established a new mailing list for Robin's fans, entitled Roses For Robin. With the announcement the next day of his new CD, the timing couldn't be better! I invite you to visit http://groups.yahoo.com/group/RosesForRobin/ for more information. I sincerely hope that some of you will join us. --==*Anne and ^..^ bgfan@sympatico.ca ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 4 Oct 2002 18:53:23 EDT From: Raingrl2@aol.com Subject: Re: Robin Solo --part1_49.24ce898e.2acf75e3_boundary Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Well, I don't post very often but thought I'd put in my two cents worth! I adore the Bee Gees, as brothers, as a group, and individually. Their music is wonderful, all of it. I try to buy everything that comes out. So, Robin's upcoming solo single/album will be on my shopping list. I'm looking forward to hearing it. But, that's not the issue. I have a deep sadness, even a sense of worry, that the Bee Gees are no longer a group. It's not that they owe us anything. On the contrary, they have provided so many people with so much, how could we dare to wish for more? But I wonder why this is occurring now. I'm concerned with Barry's health, and we haven't heard anything about Maurice's health. I know Mo is playing paintball here and there, but this Robin solo just doesn't seem to fit. The thing I keep going back to, over and over, is the statement in previous interviews about the Brothers being a group. That when one of them isn't feeling well or quite right, they don't record. References to a chain, and if one link is missing, well......you get the picture. I've gone on too long. I think I'm realistic.....no one can expect them or anyone to record forever, or to keep touring forever (except Mick Jagger......), but this whole subject just seems unsettling. Enough said. This is all just my personal opinion. Thanks for listening. Linda (friend of ChiaMo, ready to visit Mt. Bee Gee, when given the word.) --part1_49.24ce898e.2acf75e3_boundary-- ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 5 Oct 2002 09:33:46 +1000 From: "Shangri-La" Subject: Solo <> "Rings Around the MOON" :o) ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 4 Oct 2002 16:31:45 -0300 From: "Zulema Nicotra" Subject: News of Robin's album in a web site. Maurice was not involved with this project. He is nice enough to talk to people, but we can't expect him to know about something he did not work on.
