I remember hearing about this article and discussing it here on the list. If I recall, a number of us thought it may have been true at the time, but it soon became apparent it was just nonsense. This is the first time I've heard MJ connected to the story.

As I remember it, Michael Jackson was definitely involved. He was to travel
with Barry on the train, but I thought it was David English who made the
announcement about travelling Harry Potter style and people on the list
later concluded that he had said it for a joke.
As for the story about 'Chain Reaction', I did wonder myself if the scenario
was a little like the one described, but never had any concrete evidence of
this.

Can't help you on the video clip but can add a snippet of info: the recent
tv campaign in the UK by Dell computers has 'Lolipop' as the accompanying
music. Not sure if it's the original version all cleaned up of crackles
and pop ;-) Reminds me of the young Bee Gees version everytime.
