(#2007-3615) - Topics this issue: 1) Remastered edition of Saturday Night Fever, ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Sun, 30 Sep 2007 20:27:55 +0100 From: "Dan B" Subject: Re: Remastered edition of Saturday Night Fever Bill Inglot did the "Greatest" remaster according to the notes. In my opinion, only "The Record" comes close to the MFSL edition of "SNF" in terms of sound quality, the MFSL was awesome!. The Rhino "Greatest" sounds very good, but there is a bass kick missing, though I must say the mid-range is very good indeed. I do wonder if the original masters were used, or sub-masters for the "Greatest" compilation instead... Who knows?...
