It's kind of hard to believe that would still carry a grudge all these years, but his recent comments do seem to indicate that is the case. What I have a harder time understanding is exactly why? The 1969 break-up may have been a bitter and traumatic experience for him (them), but it was short and ultimately they want on to reunite and eventually become even bigger than they were before. Not that much damage really. Moreover, most of the 70's has the Barry/Robin competition decidedly going Barry's way. He becomes the primary writer, producer, and singer (or should I say even more than before). Robin, while still making some important contributions, undoubtedly evolves into a secondary role. In short, it became Barry's show not too far after the reunion. So, why is he still so disraught about it? Lastly, the evidence clearly demonstrates that Barry and Stigwood have their fair share of the blame for causing the break-up. It wasan't merely because Robin wanted more attention from Stigwood, as Barry stated in that BBC interview. Something that makes Barry's position all the more puzzling. We really need an objective third-party to shed some light on this whole Barry/Robin situation. Seriously, Andrew let it fly a little more. You seem to possibly have a little more insight into the Barry/Robin saga, so perhaps you can articulate a little more. I'm not being sarcastic.
