I'm sure Maurice had a few cocktails in the green room. Carson mentioned David Bowie and how he was "transfixed" by his performance. Maurice kept saying, "Great gal, uh, er guy", several times. I'm sure Mo wasn't phobic but Carson just ignored it. Marty, do you recall if Carson was tapping his pencil when Maurice was making his "Great gal, uh, er guy" comments? Carson tapping his pencil was a sign he was annoyed or angry with a guest. I must've missed that particular Bee Gees appearance on Carson's show but I remember most of their other interviews on his show were almost always quite humorous, sometimes hysterically funny. I often wished Carson or some other talk show host would've just booked a whole show with just the Gibbs. If they hadn't made it in music, they could've made it in comedy.
