Great attempt to get a discussion going! I figure this quiet is just a lull, so I hope Chris is patient with the list and keeps it going! As for your "Joke" Theory.. I had never heard that before but it sure fits! I can also understand why none of the Bee Gees wanted to admit that they were singing a song about Hitler! That wouldn’t be very popular at all. Below are the lyrics to "Joke." Hitler certainly did start the whole world crying and the world started to live again after his death.. I wouldn't call what he did a joke, but that wording would be the poetic license thing.. The part of the song that says he is looking to the skies might mean he is looking at planes? He certainly should have been upset about the words that he said.. It should have caused any sane person to lose sleep.. However, I am sure Hitler wasn't sane.. But, Marty.. I think you have solved the Joke meaning puzzle for me!! Jan T. I Started a Joke I started a joke, which started the whole world crying, but I didn't see that the joke was on me, oh no. I started to cry, which started the whole world laughing, oh, if I'd only seen that the joke was on me. I looked at the skies, running my hands over my eyes, and I fell out of bed, hurting my head from things that I'd said. Til I finally died, which started the whole world living, oh, if I'd only seen that the joke was on me. I looked at the skies, running my hands over my eyes, and I fell out of bed, hurting my head from things that I'd said. 'Til I finally died, which started the whole world living, oh, if I'd only seen that the joke was one me. ------------------Original Message----------------- > >Date: Sat, 30 Jun 2007 21:57:29 -0700 >From: "Marty Hogan" >Subject: no action here! > >Just watched "ONO" again.
