Although, "You Wouldn't Know" can qualify as well. "In My Own Time" as well but in none of those songs is it particularly hard to make out which of the brothers has the lead vocal. It would be easy to assume that because of the Robin and Barry writing credit on "Please Read Me," that it's one of them or both of them. But one needn't look much further than the Australian era when some of the songs written by Barry were sung by Robin ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 11 Jul 2006 21:12:29 -0400 From: Joseph Brennan Subject: Re: Where has this been? --On Tuesday, July 11, 2006 2:56 PM -0700 Marty Hogan wrote: > I found this great site with some new (or old) info on the IBC Studio > work the Bee Gees did from 1867-1974. You can hear that verse after the last fast chorus of the song, as it drifts into the vocals with the piano's rising note (da-duh-da-DA!) (Best I can muster)."....today I saw the sun, I saw...." Marty From SF Geez, I just keep appreciateing thier music more and more - who woulda thought? ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 11 Jul 2006 21:49:54 EDT From: Compoccias@aol.com Subject: Re: Where has this been? It's closer to funky beegee thing. It also misses the guitar riff (try Led Zeppelin). Just thought I'd pass on - and I'm sure you've discussed this before - but there's a lot of what was once rare material on the web. www.youtube.com has a stack of rare clips and appearances, and the unreleased solo albums and demos and A Kick in the Head... are available from a certain Russian mp3 site for a very small cost. I don't want to start any arguments about the rights or wrongs of this material being available, but if like me, you've only read about this stuff for many years, the opportunity to get it is very difficult to resist. Cheers, Max ------------------------------ End words@brothersgibb.com Digest [07/12/2006 03:01] ----------------------------------------------------
