Today...out of the clear blue...I get this GOOGLE Alert for our Joseph Brennan's Gibb Songs site: Google Alert for: Barry Gibb Gibb Songs BARBRA STREISAND, Barry Gibb, Elaine Paige, Olivia Newton-John. "Time is Time" (Andy Gibb 1980-1981) Andy Gibb, Victoria Principal, Queen, Flower ... (The URL takes you to the site's index page, which doesn't show up.) But, if you cut the index part off, you get there just fine: http://www columbiauniversity.org/~brennan/beegees/ The site has been in existance for years, though. I've been surfing there since I first got the internet. So why the sudden 'Alert'? (GOOGLE Alerts must work in mysterious ways. LOL) Anyways, if anyone on this list hasn't been there, yet, it's a wonderful website with tons of fascinating BEE GEES' info!!! Thanks for this site, Joe. Your informative pages certainly do add to my enjoyment of the music of these talented artists. (I keep a shortcut to it on my desktop.) :) Ross ty Ross & Joe ~ it IS a wonderful site with TONS of info ! it will probably take me a year to check it all out. thanx for sharing ! gingee ~ ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 4 Jul 2006 08:22:20 EDT From: Mistyhart@aol.com Subject: Re: Assault the Vaults 2 In a message dated 7/3/2006 8:30:26 P.M. Whilst it sold well ( I was told it out-sold BOB or was it BFB?) the new management of Festival Post about 2002 weren't interested unless it was going to sell about 100,000 copies. I did meet several times with the people from Raven records who were interested but in their words they wanted a "good album" ( ie an album full of strong Gibb songs _not just an album of collectable songs. So it was going to contain Striesand and other popular covers so I just lost interest eventually . I have just written to one of the Raven people again to see if they are interested in reviving the original concept but don't hold out hope. They didn't like the title either which I did, I thought it was great ( Mark Byfield came up with the title). Mark C ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ hiya Mark C & everyone else ~ i like the title too ! this part of your email really caught my attention: "I have just written to one of the Raven people again to see if they are interested in reviving the original concept but don't hold out hope." well i was just wondering ... what if the "Raven people" got an email from all of us similar to your request ? do you think the demand for it would help sway their decision ? gingee ~ ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 4 Jul 2006 08:29:42 EDT From: Mistyhart@aol.com Subject: Re: Assault the Vaults 2 In a message dated 7/3/2006 9:01:22 P.M.
