I was refering to the description of the QUALITY of the record, compared to what the camera was telling us... Actually when you read the page and see how the guy grades his records, he does do it honestly by his system. Although I am not sure that a system that suggests VG- is a record that has a lot of wear and tear, is any good! I would suggest that any kind of Very Good, would mean just that, instead of meaning "well actually, very good means poor condition!" I have had records returned to me that I described as EX as there was some light surface noise.... It is a lottery! The tracklist for each albums 2nd disc looks rather pale, particularly those for Horizontal and Idea. They could have dug deeper, indeed. I fear we might find some songs as exclusive iTunes downloads in the not too distant future. /Ronnie Some people see things that are and ask, Why? Some people dream of things that never were and ask, Why not? Some people have to go to work and don't have time for all that. - George Carlin http://www.brothersgibb.com Bee Gees News and Information ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 20 Sep 2006 21:37:03 +0100 From: =?iso-8859-1?Q?Andrew_M=F4n_Hughes?= Subject: Re: Nomination for worst record description EVER From: "Lee Meadows" > I have had records returned to me that I described as EX as there was some > light surface noise.... Hey Lee - remember the days when Dubious Dave was selling off his collection? Almost everything was listed as M+. Apart from the fact that they weren't all Mint - it was often debated how a grading of "Mint Plus" was possible! Ah, the good old days eh! Can you tell me whether you have the additional information about this box set for us? Robert On 21/09/06, Andrew M=F4n Hughes wrote: > > From: "Robert S. I love the noise from old records, but can't put up with skips. My dream is to get a clean, mono copy of UK odessa album with no skip on Lamplight. All my Odessa LPs are graded as NM, except for the track 'Lamplight'.
