Never thought I would be the subject of the words list..LOL Just to let anyone who is wondering. Yes, my family and I are moving to TN in late Oct. We were SUPPOSED to move to TN in 2002, but my husbands transfer was..transferred..LOL to NJ were we have been for almost 4 years No I am not moving to TN because Barry recently bought a home there, but I must admit it is a nice "plus" I have visited TN on a few occasions and love the state, so when the chance came up last year for us to move there we grabbed it. Marty, Ann, thanks for the sweet comments. Hi Lace :-) I now return you to your regularly scheduled list. Is this the "Georgette" MAJOR Bee Gees fan that hung around Middle Ear Studios??? I met her in 1997 there and she is a darlin' gal. So she's following Barry to TN? Hmmm. Marty From SF Yeap, the one and the same. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 20 Sep 2006 12:34:50 -0500 (CDT) From: "Genny Newhouse" Subject: Re: Robin Gibb's Mother of Love Thanks for the link to this beautiful song...sounds like a hymn you'd hear in church....only thing missing is the violins and church choir. If the LP looks anything like it's 'excellent' cover, I doubt it would even be playable.=0D Think I'll skip. (Pretty sure the record will, too. lol)=0D =0D What I find hard to believe is the ridiculous prices on some of these old Bee Gees' LPs. Some individual records are marked into the upper teens.=20 Another buyer has four VG+ for only four bucks for the whole lot. I can usually find the Best Of album in most thrift stores for only a buck or t= wo. Go figure.=0D =0D :) Ross...who now figures her extensive BEE GEES' LP collection to be a r= eal steal...compared to e-Bay, that is ;)=0D =0D ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 21 Sep 2006 03:17:00 +0900 From: "Robert S. Kim" Subject: Re: Nomination for worst record description EVER Lee, If the LP has a yellow ATCO label, that description will be plausible. As you know, the first, stereo pressings of First, Horizontal and Idea were released with a purple+yellow label. Their second counterparts have a yellow label, which was used from the late 1968 on. The mono copy of First and Horizontal also existed in the US market, which all have a brown+gray label. Odessa was released as the stereo copy only in the US in 1969, which has a yellow label. It is a matter of course that all promo copies of the first four albums have a white label. One of my two US Horizontal LPs is actually monaural although it was labeled as stereo. With no respect to the label color, the sound quality of Bee Gees First, whether it was issued in the UK or US, was very poor. It was relatively enhanced in Germany or Japan. Of note, Spicks and Specks/I Am The World was also included in the Dutch pressing of Bee Gees First.
