Number 8 on the list was She Believes In Me, sung by Kenny Rogers, written by Stephen Gibb. Not a bad showing, #8 out of 100. Madelyn --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Two in Fact !!!!! I have been meaning to say these for quite sometime and just forgot with all the excitement leading up to DC .... NBC Late Night Host Conan O'Brien had on his show, Jimmy Fallon from "Saturday Night Live" on a few weeks ago and Conan asked him what his favorite skit was ... Well of all the ones Jimmy could have chosen from his several years on the show, he chose the one where he and Justin Timberlake did "The Barry Gibb Show" .... I have yet to see it, but was still pleased he mentioned it. Then my husband was watching Conan's show again some other night by himself ( details are a bit fuzzy here ... anyone who remembers better is more than welcome to help ) and someone from "The Sopranos" was on and she said something like she makes sure the music her kids listen to is Rated PG. To which Conan went along the lines of "Not Bee Gee?" And did his impression of the now famous post on the "Saturday Night Fever" album and a original jig to go with it. Could Conan be a Bee Gee fan ... some day my husband and I hope to go see a live taping of the show ... we'll have to ask him :) Janel ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 9 Jul 2004 16:13:16 +0100 From: "Maggie Bleksley" Subject: A Gibb Tidbit I think the lady most probably assumed this man to be Barry's eldest son, who's name is, of course, also Stephen. I think this is excusable, as he has played guitar with the Bee Gees, so is involved in the music business to a certain extent. However, I think I saw something about this some time ago and, on looking the songwriter up, discovered that he was Scottish, if my memory serves me correctly, and too old to be Barry's son. Simply fascinating. :-) And I agree Debbie --- or should I say "Double Ditto Debbie", I've been impressed with Doug from Texas for awhile now... He can be quite witty. By the way this name is old news to me because when I was looking up Gibb compositions I kept running across his. He seems to be a fairly successful songwriter. One source says born 1939.
