Mary Rose, how on earth could you be *angry* at Robin for singing his own songs? Yes, he wrote them too, and he sang on them. Just because the lead vocal is, or is perceived to be, Barry's doesn't deprive Robin of the right to sing them (even though I agree it would have been nice to hear him sing more of his solo stuff). For all we know, contractual terms might have required him to include some of the other songs. Or maybe it's his way of dealing with the end of the Bee Gees. I understand what you're saying, but if *you* expect to hear Barry and that makes you angry, well, maybe your anger is displaced. Could it be that you (and others who feel this way) are really angry at Barry for not being out there, singing? 'Cause Robin's bravely soldiering on, doing his best, and I don't think it's fair to fault him. Just a thought, Anne ----- Original Message ----- > Okay Jean, I'm going to step out here on the water and slowly drown with my next statement. If it is a Robin Gibb concert and NOT a Bee Gees concert, then why Bee Gees and are they going to be all Barry lead songs again? I love Robin and wish him only the very best with the concerts but I get angry listening to him sing Barry lead songs. Robin has had so many beautiful lead songs through the years and I hope he will add those to the concert but I would like to see him leave How Deep and others like that behind and leave them to Barry. It doesn't matter how many backup singers he has he just can't pull them off. I listen for the sounds of Barry when I hear the opening music not Robin. > > Mary Rose ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 19 Sep 2004 12:25:36 -0500 (GMT-05:00) From: Vivian Subject: Re: Writers Block -- Robin Setty/Mary Rose Very well said Nancy!!!
