I agree. Go into a record store and ask for "Robin Gibb", the sales person will most likely say, "Who?". Then you'll have to say, "Robin Gibb, he is one of the Bee Gees..." Then they will know, most likely... (happened to me last week while looking for "Magnet", of which they did not have) People are more interested in hearing "The Bee Gees". Then to please the vast majority of their audience, they are not going to want him to sing songs that most people will not tap their foot at, or shake their booty to. coming out of lurkdom... .....----===*Chris... http://www.brothersgibb.com Bee Gees News and Information ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 7 Jul 2004 19:10:07 EDT From: MOsWildflower@aol.com Subject: Re: Robin on stage --part1_e6.531fb756.2e1ddccf_boundary Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit In a message dated 7/7/2004 12:07:29 AM Pacific Standard Time, ruddyduck@comcast.net writes: > I love the way Robin strode out on stage like he owned it. Hi Judy and all ~ While we do joke about Robin "strangling" the microphone (think Doug started that one on this thread and it was funny), did anyone else notice that at least during the first two songs he was having trouble with bringing it up to where he wanted it and keeping it there? I noticed he kept sliding it up with one hand and trying to tighten it with the other hand...but it ust would not stay put. Just wondering...I noticed it the first time, but when I rewatched the show it was more pronounced as I was looking for it. Also, when he finished singing and went to say something it was turned off (big boo hiss!!). Joy :) --part1_e6.531fb756.2e1ddccf_boundary-- ------------------------------ End words@brothersgibb.com Digest [07/07/2004 21:01] ----------------------------------------------------
