Thanks Joy A receptionist at our veterinary office is named Fanny...of course, I = had to=20 ask her if she knew of the Bee Gees song "Fanny (Be Tender With My = Love)". =20 She laughed and said "You know, I never had heard of it until I met my = husband. =20 On our first date, I was cooking him dinner. After we ate, he brought = out=20 that record and played it as we danced. Each year on our wedding = anniversary we=20 play it and remember our first date". So here is a Fanny story with a = happy=20 ending (pun intended!!). From ic Teesside.co.uk: Bee Gee Robin Gibb is helping Alistair Griffin swop Danby for Dresden and Boro for Berlin. Alistair, who shot to fame on BBC TV pop talent hunt Fame Academy last year, has spent the summer playing gigs all over the country. And he has been watched closely by "Ali's Barmy Army" of loyal fans. But later this month he'll be swopping recently played venues like Staithes and Falkirk for Stuttgart and Frankfurt. That's because Robin Gibb and the New Frankfurt Philharmonic have invited Alistair to tour Germany with them. There's a commerical on TV here in PA ( and undoubtedly elsewhere in the states ) where you see a girl pouting and a pair of arms putting school supplies in a shopping cart. She finally goes something like "I thought you said school was out forever." To which you see who she is talking to ... her dad, Alice Cooper, who goes something like "No honey, the song said "School's out ... for summer." It's a commerical for Staples, an office/school supply store. Gibb Content ... ummmm, I am sure there are more connections out there, but the one that comes most readily to mind is Alice Cooper's role in the SP movie, I do think he was Professor Sun but correct me if I am wrong. I know for certain he was the one whose character tried to strangle Robin's character then ... POW! Big Brother Barry's character came to the rescue. Just a bit of comic relief for your reading pleasure .... Janel ------------------------------ End words@brothersgibb.com Digest [09/13/2004 15:01] ----------------------------------------------------
