People went to it, expecting to find the Bee Gees, but it was really Alice Cooper. As far as I know, Barry hasn't started wearing makeup, and last I saw of him, he looked as good as ever :o) Maggie ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 1 Jul 2004 17:11:15 +0930 From: "John Chris and Peter Lawrance" Subject: Goodness Me... One by Maurice (being a Maurice tragic immediately the = album becomes dear to my heart! :>) However it was track 13 or Sweet Song of Summer that caught my = attention. It seems to be one of those quirky songs they came out with occasionally = (like "This is your Life") =20 I was guessing that they were trying to get an "Indian" feel perhaps. = However... Robin goes off (I think it is him) into transports of vocal = wandering at the end. It "sounds" Indian but hell to my Aussie ears = there are also interesting sounding vocals that I would relate to our = indigenous people down under. They have a very distinctive sound at = times when they sing indigenous music. It might just be a trick of the = sound. Does anyone have a comment or know anything about this particular song" Chris Lawrance Adelaide ------=_NextPart_000_0075_01C45F8E.6A98A580-- ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 1 Jul 2004 01:16:54 -0700 From: "Full Spectrum Records" Subject: Bee Gees to perform???? Could it be that Barry, after seeing Robin's = perseverance (and possible mutilation at the Hollywood Bowl of a song = Barry sang lead on) decided to join Robin??? I hope so. If so, good work = Robin, in bringing Barry back to his senses. The Bee Gees will NEVER = die. It's not my imagination, either. > I know a STOLE is the word used for part of the bishop's garments, I believe it's the scarf-like item worn around the neck. Wonder if that is what they meant--just to be funny, maybe? Or was the word SOUL just not pronounced correctly...? > In quiring minds want to know-- > Helen > --NextPart_Webmail_9m3u9jl4l_28789_1088651123_0-- > Yes, you're right, Helen! It's definitely 'stole'. Sounds like it might be a slip of the tongue, as the word after it is 'sticks' which starts the same way, but they repeat it later in the song and still say 'stole'. In any case, I doubt that they'd have l left it without correcting it if it had been a mistake. I never actually saw 'Cucumber Castle', but as it was a TV comedy, I wonder if it's related to something in that?
