It was in 1993 and they performed PAYING THE PRICE OF LOVE and DECADANCE. It was play-back. The entertainer was Bertin Osborne, a well-known Spanish singer. I think the channel was TELE5. If you could scan them, I'd love those articles you wrote about. Thanks. Joan The Catalan Man ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------- Hola, Roberto: Recuerdo bien esa actuación de Bee Gees en Sevilla en 1993. Sal -- What a thing to hang on a poor, innocent little girl!! Debbie How can Barry get any closer to his family? Particularly Ali, who I think Barry spends most of his time with. I heard he didn't want to go on tour because he didn't want to be away from her. I suspect that Barry's inactivity in recent years may have alot to do with all the time and attention he gives his daughter. Think about it, the Bee Gees lower output, the cancelled tours, etc., coincides with the birth of his daughter. It's strange, but you could say Ali is the Bee Gees Yoko Ono. I have sense enough to know that people who hurt others who love them for no reason should be pitied -- my brain just needs to tell my heart that. Doesn't this remind you of third grade when Judy Stewart got mad at Nancy White because Nancy got to be "Cinderella" in the school play even though Judy's sister was Princess Grace, so Judy told all of us girls not to have anything to do with Nancy on the playground because her mother walked around the house naked?? Debbie Oh yes! You can say that again. I totally agree!! I can't stand these people that think they are hot sh_ _ because they live close to the Gibb's or because they have information. I've never been jealous of them. I actually have a life!!! These people need to get one. I've been frustrated by them for many many years. Faye -- Like you, I wasn't talking about people who view their admiration ofthe Gibbs (or other celebrities) as something that adds a little zest totheir lives. I'm sorry to say I've had the painful experience though oflearning that people who seem to be your good friends and whom you genuinelycare about would cheerfully walk over your face with football cleats if theythought it would gain them even one tidbit of third or fourth-hand gossipabout the Gibbs. People like that don't HAVE real friends -- they just haveco-conspirators in a fellowship of nuts. Gibb gossip passes for currency inthose circles, while real friendship apparently means nothing.Debbie ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 22 Jul 2003 13:47:06 -0400 From: Debbie Howell Subject: Hot Toddy Doug -- It's very much like grog. I've been a Bee Gees fan since 1997, when I saw the Bee Gees perform on ... Oprah Winfrey! I love to read the posts on this list, but now I would like to ask something. I've heard about a review by Billboard magazine editor Timothy White of the 1997 album Still Waters. I was wondering if someone has the text of this review / or has read it and can tell a little bit about it? I would love to hear what he has to say about one of my favorite albums. Thanks a lot in advance. I have been awed by Steve Rucker's talent since first seeing him in BeeGees' concerts. Can you tell us more, where he is a professor, how he hooked up with the Brothers Gibb, does he do studio work, etc., etc. This percussion fan would love to know more. My love of drumming goes back to Cozy Cole, for any of you old enough to remember him. Thank you for any info you can give the List, or e-mail me privately, PLEASE.
