But in between "the = Ballad of John and Yoko" and "Beautiful Boy" he wrote a couple of = obscure ditties called "Imagine" and "Give Peace a Chance". lol. I = agree he exposed a bit more of himself than I needed to see (Two Virgins = perhaps?) but it wasn't a constant theme. He wrote quite a few songs = that were similar to "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart" in some respects. = "Starting Over" comes to mind. It could have applied to many of us in = many situations or moods. I think the radical difference was that = Lennon would gladly discuss his intimate feelings and lyrical = inspirations with interviewers and the Gibbs rarely let themselves get = pinned down that way. Lennon and the Gibbs definitely have one thing in = common lyrically. When the lyrics are bizarre and nonsensical, the most = ready explanation is chemical enhancement. jean w. >I guess a Beatle=20 >could have done it and had success, but most other songwriters would = have turned=20 >off their listeners with such egocentric songs. I would love to have seen "The Real John Lennon" - sounded like a well-done, informative program. As far as not mentioning anything Bee Gee related, the Beatles were a major inspiration and motivating force for the Bee Gees to forge ahead with their music. But I think others on the list would be better at going into detail about this than I would. Thanks again and take care. It looked more like a permanent part of the floor rather than a projected design. on 7/11/03 3:02 AM, ListMember@brothersgibb.com at ListMember@brothersgibb.com wrote: (#2003-4293) - Topics this issue: 1) One Night Only Video-Writing on floor, 2) One Night Only Video-Writing on floor, ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Thu, 10 Jul 2003 23:40:15 -0700 From: Judy Subject: One Night Only Video-Writing on floor On the sixth viewing I noticed some writing on the stage floor.; about 4 lines of words.
