I agree with this, but I think we need to separate the origins of
the song from what is actually in the song.  The brothers very
commonly abstract the feeling from any particulars.  The song
then applies to any case of disillusionment and sadness, and
listeners can read in events of their own life and share the
feeling of it.  The inspiration for this song and 'Lonely days',
written the same day they have said, is clearly the breakup
between the brothers, and I think it's interesting to know
that (or why would I help write a book on their lives), but
they used those feelings to create something that does not
dwell on their own specific situation.  Not all listeners like
this kind of abstraction, but probably all of *us* get it.
