It is a bit of an odd name but it would appear to be based around the initials RHG which are the same as Robin's. Handsome? <> I would gladly attest to that statement....after all beauty is in the eye of the beholder...right? I have been a Robin girl since the age of 12...even then I could see that Barry was by far the more traditionally handsome of the 3, however, Robin just did something for me...and that voice!!! Anyway several years ago I met all 3 brothers and Robin must have been having a bad day because he was, well, not very friendly. I wondered if I could still be so enthralled by someone who wasn't nice in person. Anyway, the next time I saw them I decided that I maybe I should be a Barry girl since he had seemed much more friendly and was, after all, incredibly handsome. Or maybe I should be a Maurice girl since he was incredibly cute, funny, outgoing and energetic. Much to my surprise as they walked in and said hello to me and my friends I once again fell under the spell of Robin. No, he may not be what the masses might consider handsome, attractive or sexy but he does it for me...and it is not fair for anyone to criticize or belittle people for their choices or opinions...especially about such a personal subject. Anyway....a happy Bee Gee 4th of July to all! As far as the glut of lists that are posted here lately, I know you're having fun, but can we please give it a rest! The next list someone is going to propose is Robin's 5 best hairdo's. Probably because Maurice didn't sing as well as Barry and Robin. He didn't have their range and his voice wasn't as distinctive. To be fair, he was good singer and if he had been a member of most other bands he would have sung a lot more lead. It was probably just a bit too tough to get his share of lead vocals when competing against two very gifted singers who both wanted the spotlight. But you know, I never got the impression that Mo cared all that much about it. To me, he always seemed to be one of those artists who was comfortable in the background and making his contributions behind the scenes, even if he didn't get noticed. A very nice quality. I do it for fun, and I like to read what everyone else put down because it shows us as individuals. Someone sometimes puts down a "favorite" (I am convinced, though, that no one has one or even five favorites. I think the majority have hundreds of favorites :)) I don't think it is very polite to continually put people down for doing amusing things. I think sometimes it okay to keep your opinions to yourself. I like reading different opinions than my own; but there are some people who do it in a demeaning way. I am sorry, but I also had to get THAT off my chest. Christine E.
