This was during a very sad time for my family-my grandfather was in the hospital dying of pancreatic cancer-in fact he died on the 18th of July-the day after my 18th birthday-about 6 days after the concert. I remember bringing back the program to show him and talking to him about the concert. My Dad was also leading the strike against the Sacramento Bee Newspaper at that time-he is the one who went with my cousin, and my boyfriend to the concert-he thoroughly enjoyed it and wrote up the experience for his strike newspaper-I still have that. It was so crazy-I actually enjoyed the tour performance for the One album a little better-but it was indeed a memorable evening and I was partially deaf for about a week after-I sat in the second row front and center from the stage-what a night that was! --part1_14b.21ddbadf.2c4c2644_boundary-- ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 20 Jul 2003 19:20:09 +0200 From: "JPC" Subject: Robin in Catalonia and Joan The Catalan Man This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_01A2_01C34EF3.EF8D2510 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hi, everybody: Yes, I am a man and I'm Catalan cause I'm from Catalonia. I did happen upon David's faq on many of my google searches and found it to be very detailed but yes it is a lil' outdated.....somewhere in the mid to late 90's. I get slowed down in reading the e-mails when it come to the initials thing but I will catch on. I sometimes get out my collection and peace together initials.......I like sleuth work. some I am picking up fast if its something I tend to play more than usual. I am good with laughing out loud (lol)kids stuff by now. but I am fumbling with MMM. is it major mo moment (no laughing)just a guess. anyway it would be fabulous if someone has the free time to e-mail me the most used initials. I would be eternally grateful.thanks. I was in the front row and watched Mo greet each person. A lot of people had asked me and my friend to take their pics with Mo. I remember a little girl had a poster of the guys and wanted Mo to sign it. The poster was one where Mo had no hat on. He looked at the little girl and asked her if she wanted him to sign it, pointing to his head he said, wells theres a lot of space to sign. I thought that was so like Mo. Yes, and I think us Brit fans got a rough ride at this period, they forgot about us completly at least the States got the Spirits tour, we never. As i have said on this list before it took them twenty years to play Night Fever live in Britain The secret for the sales in my opinion at the time was dance music backed up by the film S/N/F bRIAN --part1_97.3bd7e324.2c4c67fc_boundary-- ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 20 Jul 2003 17:53:48 -0400 From: "~*wildflower*~" Subject: Re: Digest (07/20/2003 00:02) (#2003-4328) Congrats, Susan! Karaoke is addicting! I went last night myself... however didn't sing any Bee Gees. I'm more for the girl songs written by the boys. I'm an avid fan of "If I can't have you" and "Heartbreaker" (which needs a little work, but it's all in fun!). Good for you for getting up to sing! A lot of people just go and watch, but then some find the courage once they see how much fun the singers are having! ~wildflower~ the karaoke junkie...
