Yes, I completely agree. I recall that for a long time I could never remember just where they sang HDIYL as a tribute to Andy in the ONO concert. It would always "blind side" me, and I would have to go scramble for the tissue box that never seemed to be where I wanted it. IMO, that was the perfect tribute to Andy, and I'm sure that when Barry and Robin are ready to do it, they'll put together an equally moving and appropriate tribute to Maurice that will express not only their own feelings but will likely speak for all the fans at what a great loss we all feel. | Their | concert tributes to Andy have always been wonderful | and heartfelt. I have no doubt they will do the same | for Maurice. ~8^) Pat Wong (ICQ #61070813) http://www.napathon.net/ - Music Around The World For collecting tips, trade and want lists, album reviews and more. http://www.brothersgibb.com Bee Gees News and Information ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 19 Jul 2003 14:55:08 -0400 From: "Debbie Howell" Subject: SCREAM if you love the Bee Gees! Thanks, Laura! I can't really take credit for this one though. I was sitting in traffic a while back behind a car with a bumper sticker that said, "VISUALIZE WHIRLED PEAS." Obviously someone with a grudge against peacemongers..... On a totally different subject, when I was browsing in a Planet Music superstore this morning, I was horrified to discover a "Bee Gees One Night Only" DVD in the Science Fiction/Horror section! It was behind the tab that said "Scream Movies!" Let me tell you I told THAT sales clerk a thing or two! I think he was afraid of me by the time I finished rearranging his inventory! Debbie Debbie, I just have to tell you that I love your subject lines! They never fail to make me chuckle. I agree with you, Faye, about the extraordinary effort people expend trying to get close to the Gibbs when they could put that energy to something useful. As I was watching the Ben & Jen interview the other night -- YES, I ADMIT IT! SO SUE ME! -- it popped into my head to wonder if Barry and Robin have even more loonytoons traffic on their street when Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are in residence right there between their houses. They don't get much hotter than Affleck and Lopez these days, so just imagine how many crazy people must try to follow them around! Debbie ROFLMAO...thanks for the laugh! I've heard many "nutcase" tales over the years from people who worked or still work for the Gibbs. (I'm sure it's the same with any entertainer/well known person and certainly one of the least desirable aspects of celebrity.) Many were pretty dang funny, and some so Machiavellian they were beyond belief. Pretty sad, though, when you think about the wasted time and energy expended. Faye Mary Rose -- I thought Words Joan was a man. I'm sure it's a lovely place if it's in that part of the world. I'm afraid I know a lot more about catatonia than Catalonia... Debbie FYI, Bill, Catalan is native of, or belonging to Catalonia, which is a small country measuring nearly 32,000 square kilometers (12,000 sq. miles.) in the Northeast corner of Spain. Being Catalan myself, I must admit that I 've had a lot of fun with this topic!! Just to situate everybody... Catalonia's capital is Barcelona. We have the status of Autonomic community inside of Spain. I also want to clarify that JOAN is a male name in Catalan language (female is Joanna). Montse, a Catalan woman.
