I have 10 kingdom on dvd and since its like 4 discs long I need some assistance in finding it. its been a while since I have watched it with my kids but its definitely one of my favorite hallmark movies. I must admit I have been shameless in sensory overload when it comes to introducing bee gees to my kids. last night my daughter sat with me to watch disco ball since my husband was taping amazing race. of course she likes Aaron carter so that lured her in and then the final blow.....SNF tribute......it was so cute seeing her tapping her feet to the beat. she's 11 and it just strikes me how time repeats itself in your children. I was 10 when I received a record player for my birthday. and my older sister gave me the Spirits album. loved them since. scurried off the path a bit and was a big fan of Air Supply. then a big gap of time and rediscovered John Mellencamp music. I seem to be all over the place with music categories but I would like to think I have a broad appreciation for all music styles. my husband who is more of a head banger with his metallica and godsmack has been patient with my Bee Gees purchases and searches. when I showed him the dvd of TIWICI he didn't realize how vast their music is....how huge the catalog of written music and how much they contributed to the music industry. let me say that he was sold. he listens without complaint and sometimes (this part is funny beyond words) sometimes one of the songs gets stuck in his head and he walks around the house humming it , LOL ! I laugh just typing this..... a 36 year old man, 6foot 2, 210pound , bearded manly type of guy humming melody fair. I'm just so proud! anyway, my 9 year old son loves the three kisses of love. and if I can just get him to sing it and find two more neighborhood boys that are confident in themselves I just might have a lounge act ;) I appreciate the welcoming e-mails.....they have made me feel comfortable enough to type this page. and now I have welcomed you into my family. talk to ya later, just sharing, Kelly:) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Richard Foote" To: "words List Member" Sent: Friday, July 18, 2003 12:50 AM Subject: Back from beyond.... > Well, after a miserable bout of pneumonia, a fast and furious 36 hour > marathon move back onto the farm, a nasty auto accident, and the purchase of > two pigmy goats (to eat the five acres of lawn I can't mow with my back > injury) I'm back on the list. > When I left, it was such an idillic place to settle in and read the chat of > the day - well, that was a while ago apparently - and now I'm facing 191 > unread lists. > >From what I've scanned here and there through a few lists I don't believe > the doctor has prescribed nearly enough pain-killers for me to wade through > them all (sob). > Could someone be so kind as to PRIVATELY e-mail me with a BRIEF synopsis of > the last month's high (and apparently low) lights from the list? I have stood next to him when he was wearing his usual black boots and when he was wearing sneakers. I have worn heels and sneakers and on one occasion (at L&H) been barefoot when standing next to him. At that time he wore his black boots and was about 5 inches taller than me. I measure 64 inches or am 5'4" tall...and yes, I've measured to be sure. When he was wearing his sneakers he was about 3/4 of an inch shorter than when wearing the boots. I have also stood behind Joe ( at LBR) and I would say you are about the same height as Maurice when he was wearing his boots. Possibly the day that you met him, he had on sneakers...have you got a picture that you can check to see? So, from the many times I've stood next to Maurice, I would say he is almost 5'9" in his boots and 5'8" in his sneakers....which I'm guessing adds about 1 inch and would make him 5'7" in his socks. And would make the report about right if when laying down he is measured from head to toe. I would also say that Barry is around 6' give or take an inch and Robin 5'10". Those estimates are based on my experiences of standing next to them more than once and the fact that I have tall men to compare them to... my husband is 6'5" and my son is 6'1"....and short ones as well, a brother in law meaures in at 5'7" and a cousin at 5'6". Yes, the brothers are smaller than they appear to be on television when you meet them. But isn't it possible that those who have a problem believing the brothers heights, are not themselves as tall as they claim to be or think they are? I think most men believe that they are taller than they really are anyway. (sorry guys) This isn't a "woman thing". I'm not trying to make any of them taller, just relaying my experience of having more than once stood next to them and having someone to compare them to other than myself. Good guess, but that wasn't quite what I meant, Michelle:o) We started using those phonetics for the initials so that they wouldn't get obliterated on the digest. When I searched for the initials on the Web, I came up with Gerber Scientific Intelligent Manufacturing Systems and there was certainly no Bee Gee connection there, so I couldn't see why we should need to be told about it on the list!
