I tried dialing in a few stations to see if I could figure out what they were listening to, but no luck. So I turned my radio down, and lo and behold I heard the unmistakeable strains of "Stayin' Alive!" I felt like running up to thank them. Well.....not publically at least :o) :o) :o) Thing is, when you are a fan of it, there are so many bits you love, that its hard to understand "not" liking it. Personal fav bit.......Barry whacking it to Alice Cooper!!! First to mind are the four Noeleen Batley songs, Lori Balmer's single, the Dennis and the Delawares single, John Hore's cowboy song, Del Juliana's surfing song... that's ten already. Not the story but I love having the video play in the background while I do other things (like clean the house.) Of course, it does take me an extra long time to actually finish cleaning cuz I keep taking breaks to gaze at Barry. I was about 12 years old when I saw Pepper at the theater and it always takes me back...love it. And actually, Pepper does have a redeeming quality (for me anyway.) Being 12-years-old at the time and just getting into music I knew of the Beatles but never got into them (Bee Gees were my first .) But the movie (and music) made me open up and appreciate the Beatles music too. I know I would have eventually loved the Beatles music too but without the Sgt. Pepper film it probably would have happened much later in life. So there ya go...a redeeming quality. -Shelly ----- Original Message ----- From: To: "words List Member" Sent: Friday, July 26, 2002 5:33 PM Subject: Re: Sgt Pepper > In a message dated 7/26/2002 9:19:54 AM Central Daylight Time, > BACG143@aol.com writes: > > > > I count myself > > lucky to have become a fan, and I`ll always be grateful to Sgt Pepper. > > > > > > Jean, > I am so pleased that you are now out of the closet regarding Sgt.
