Look what it did to Peter Frampton! The Bee Gees came off relatively unscathed and followed it with the hugely successful Spirits album. When people are critical about the Bee Gees, Sgt Pepper is rarely a weapon that they use. That's more likely to be the billion-times more successful Saturday Night Fever! I`d never really paid much attention to their music, being a teeny-bopper and all that, and David Cassidy was much more suited to my immature taste. Saw SNF on the wide-screen.....took one look at John Travolta, and the brain switched off!!! Ah...but then I saw Sgt Pepper at the cinema....Barrys gorgeous face on wide screen.....filling the screen - WOW!!!! And the rest is history :o) :o) :o) The joy of coming to a band, once they have a 12 year international history of hits, (and years of work even before that) is all that wonderful backlog you have to discover and collect. And then there`s been all those lovely years since `79, with more and more and more - - and hopefully still more to come:o) I count myself lucky to have become a fan, and I`ll always be grateful to Sgt Pepper. But not in South Africa it wasn`t :o) :o) :o) We were always at least 6 months behind the rest of the world. And exactly how many of those would beat out Sgt. Pepper for the "Worst ROCK Movie"? Doug rushing out to locate a copy of "The Happy Hooker Goes To Washington" ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 26 Jul 2002 17:24:18 +0200 From: beegees-forever@jazzfree.com Subject: Andy Gibb & Flower. Hola Words, ¿qué tal estamos? I've found recently some song titles, that are suppossed that Andy Gibb had any contribution on them: It says 'LP Backgr. arr. and sung by Andy Gibb & Flower'. The songs are: 01. Whatcha Keepin'In Your Heart 02. Need Your Love 03. Someone Special 04. Here Inside 05. Take Another Chance 06. New York 07. Are You Mad Enough Do anybody know the name of this Album? If so, is there any missing song? Did Andy have any contribution in them all? I've seen at Brennan's page that there's only one song in which Andy sings a backing vocal: HERE INSIDE writers: Philippe Renaux, Kathleen Dyson (1981). Your answers will be very much appreciated. Thank you very much. Adiós y hasta la próxima. Juan José Díaz González.
