I can't tell you the songlist, all I remember it had 4 songs from their 60s: NY Mining Disaster, To Love Somebody, I Just Got to Get a Msg to You and one more, maybe it was Words (but I don't think so). Has anyone seen this? I've seen two RSO issues: First and Best of. -- Bee Gees Collections http://beegeescollections.blogspot.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 13 Feb 2007 07:22:35 -0000 From: =?iso-8859-1?Q?Andrew_M=F4n_Hughes?= Subject: Re: Help on a Russian issue From: "Robert Kim" To: "words List Member" > To my knowledge, the following items were issued in the USSR. > > (1) Main Course (LP) > (2) Spirits Having Flown (LP/EP) > (3) 3-on-2-CD series (CD) > (4) MP3 CDs Vol. 1-3 I can add the following to this: The EP that Marty so much longs to find features: To Love Sombody / New York Mining Disaster 1941 / Holiday / I Can'tSee Nobody I have three different editions of this - there are many more out there, but I've never bothered with them as they've expensive for the novelty of a different coloured label or typeface! More interesting is the same set of songs on a light blue flexidisc in a picture sleeve. Another EP with the BGs on one side and a Russian folk group on the other features "Stayin' Alive" and "Night Fever" - again this is a light blue vinyl flexidisc, although this one is translucent, and again it's in a picture sleeve. Back to proper vinyl records and there was a three track EP with "Spirits (Having Flown)" / "I'm Satisfied" / "Until" - again with pic sleeve. Getting away from music - there was a translation of "Tales of the Brothers Gibb" published last year - it's a larger format than the English editions and it looks fantastic. It was limited to a single print run of 1000 copies and was only available in St Petersburg. If anybody out there needs a copy, drop me a line off list, I think Hector has some spares available.
