Hmm Now Voyager, Secret Agent, Walls Have Eyes & Living Eyes on CD all on Ebay at the mo... I seem to remember Robin saying in an interview around about the time when 'Please' was released... and whether it or not it will happen, but that his previous solo albums will be re-released on CD as a box set... I wonder whether they will?! I have SA and WHE on LP and so wouldn't fork out huge amounts for the CDs. I remember when I bought my Japanese Living Eyes CD at Tower Records in London a few years back, they had quite a few copies, with hindsight I could've made a tidy profit!! Grrrrr LOL I don't know if I mentioned this before, I think I did, but nobody replied for what ever reason?! I think the best thing that could happen in regards to the Bee Gees back catalogue would be the same that is happening to that of Chicago. Rhino are remastering/repackaging albums with extra tracks and new sleeve notes are being added and the albums are of brilliant quality. The extra tracks are anything from different vocal leads/rehersals/demos/mixes/or tracks from sessions that didn't make the album... you get the picture. I think that would mean current BG fans buying the albums again for the extras and better sound etc as well as new fans... just an idea! Of course as well as a new album from Barry & Robin! :o) Paul __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! SiteBuilder - Free web site building tool. Robin tends to say things that seem like a good idea on the day he says them. I have heard about the reissues since. > I think the best thing that could happen in regards to > the Bee Gees back catalogue would be the same that is > happening to that of Chicago. The brothers get ownership of their recordings in 2006, and it appears that they are waiting for that to happen before doing reissues. But there has been no announcement. We don't know what they may do about bonus tracks. Joe Brennan ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 4 Feb 2004 16:54:49 +0100 From: "Toni Quintana" Subject: Re: Ebay CDs! And who owns now their recordings? (I supose the Australian songs are not on the same package than the rest)..., anyway, my big question is: Let's consider the fact that they will do it (release them, again)....., will it be all the albums or the ones with "little" succes will be out of it?. (As they never say a word about Living Eyes or Mr. Natural to name two). Toni. > > I agree totally. The crucial missing word is, I have heard NOTHING about the reissues since! Sorry. I have doubts the Warner Bros stuff is included too but I do not know. Definitely it includes the Stigwood recordings (1967-1980ish) and the later Polydor/Universal recordings. It's hard to say what they're going to do, in the absence of any official comment. I'd like to think it will be all the material. Whether it will be boxes and so on is probably not even decided yet. With Barry's newfound desire to make as much money as possible, it would figure they will toss us a few bones in the form of unreleased cuts, to get us to buy the same songs over again. But who knows. Joe Brennan ------------------------------ End words@brothersgibb.com Digest [02/04/2004 12:01] ----------------------------------------------------
