News on the new virus, ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Tue, 27 Jan 2004 04:30:15 -0800 From: "Pat Wong" Subject: OT: Computer Viruses Are Making The Rounds Again I've noticed several emails with viruses as attachments the last couple of days, most of which appear to be going to my brothersgibb addy. No harm was done because I have my anti-virus software up to date, and that took care of the problem. If any list members don't have anti-virus software on your PC or don't have it up to date, you're cruising for disaster. Just a heads up on what's going on. We now return you to your regularly scheduled Bee Gees discussion. ~8^) Pat Wong http://www.napathon.net/ - Music Around The World For collecting tips, trade and want lists, album reviews and more. http://www.techtipscentral.net/CDTrusteeIntro.asp - Showcase your music collection on your website. http://www.brothersgibb.com Bee Gees News and Information ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 27 Jan 2004 07:49:57 -0500 From: "Kat Net" Subject: Re: Computer Viruses Are Making The Rounds Again Hey Pat: I was about to mention the same thing. I've also been getting some emails with virus warnings from members of this list. I totally agree that everyone should keep their virus programs up to date. My machine is new so it's completely up to date. I read about a new virus on google news last night. It seems to attack older Outlook Express systems, one's that haven't been updated or have the patches downloaded. So everyone be on the lookout! Oh well, Guess that's just something we have to live with on a mailing list.
