It was an infomercial for a "'60's Gold" 7 CD set..that was their only song on it so I wasn't too interested in that. What was fun was seeing Otis Redding singing "Dock of the Bay", knowing that TLS was written for him; Diana Ross and the Supremes singing "Someday We'll Be Together", knowing that she would later sing "Chain Reaction"; and Dionne Warwick singing "Say A Little Prayer", knowing she would later sing "Heartbreaker" (and remembering Maurice saying in Keppel Road that when he was young he would listen to Dionne singing "Do You Know The Way To San Jose", never imagining she would later be singing one of their songs). What a walk down memory lane...... Joy :) --part1_b0.4391f951.2d3b5d6c_boundary-- ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 17 Jan 2004 23:31:10 EST From: BevSully@aol.com Subject: Re: Mo & LuLu -------------------------------1074400270 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit In a message dated 1/17/04 5:57:37 PM Eastern Standard Time, ListMember@brothersgibb.com writes: Maurice Hi Everyone: I received my copy of LuLu's CD with the "First of May." Needless to say I played that first. For those of you who may not know, it's the last song on disc one. The CD ends with the audience clapping and her saying, "Ladies & Gentlemen, Maurice Gibb." What a nice tribute to him. It's worth the price of the CD just to have this momento of him.
