Maurice requested to be cremated before he became ill. Diana I always found it odd that Maurice was cremated in Fort Lauderdale. Was that a special place for him and his family? Why was he cremated and not buried like Andy? What was done with his ashes? The two track single what gives Robin equal credit is only on release for a couple of weeks (as I understand) and this makes me feel slightly used, was the bee gee fan who bought this single (because of Robin) used to propel this record into the chart as clearly Alister is not selling on his own merit Brian uk.........who is still thinking about this --part1_79.20811388.2d348b34_boundary-- ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 13 Jan 2004 11:43:50 +1100 From: "O'Connor" Subject: How can you mend a broken heart Local radio ABC 702 Sydney played the Michael Buble version of 'How can you mend a broken heart' on the Nightlife programme last night as a tribute to Maurice Gibb. They mentioned a "surprise appearance by Barry Gibb" on the recording. Good old ABC, they never forget the Bee Gees. Having just returned myself from Miami, Loving and missing Maurice eternally, ~~Marie~~ Holly Hiraoka wrote: Jan. 12, 2004 Hi everyone, For many of us this day brings great sorrow and pain as we mourn the loss of a man who brought so much love and talent and magic to this world. Though our hearts are heavy we also find ourselves smiling as we remember a man with so much love for life...a It has been a year since he was taken from us that terrible January day. A chill that was felt in our hearts and our souls was probably in the air in Miami as the news went out to all corners of the world that our Mo was gone, taken from us before many of Many words have already been written about Mo that are much more eloquent that mine about what he meant to the world and to the many people that loved him. My words feel inadequate at best but I have to try to express my experiences of Mo and what I have Maurice came into my life to the accompaniment of the music that was so much a part of his and his brother’s lives. It was the music that enchanted me and made me want to find out more about this group that created the melodies that swirled around in my h I began watching everything I could find about the Brothers. I became more and more attracted to Mo as I watched him speak about his brothers, his family, his music and his life. I will always remember him in his trademark hat, often clad in black with hi sense of the word. He was a very talented musician whether writing, playing an instrument or singing. He sang the third part in the Brother’s famous three part harmony and, as Barry said, knew exactly where to put in that third voice to make the harmony sound just right. He I remember being most impressed and touched in one interview by the love that shone in his wife’s eyes and in her tears when she spoke of him and the experiences they had shared in his battle with alcohol and their life together. It was an epiphany for me souls… With all my love, Holly --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! It's not a tombstone , just a plaque and there are beautiful red flowers on either side. I was just curious why he was buried in Hollywood. By the way I read somewhere that Maurice's ashes might have been dispersed in the Bahamas, where they had a home. It's a way for Andy's fans to visit the site, albeit a virtual one.
