Subject: SNF Fund Raiser A private school is oraganizing a spring fundraiser. It will be a Saturday Night Fever theme dinner, dance and auction. They are asking if I can contribute gift baskets, cash or services. Also, I can place a program ad for $50. Any suggestions? Should I DJ the event to make sure the right amount of BG music is played? This can be tricky if we are trying to "tear down the walls". After all the SNF DVD did not mention the Gibbs in its VH1 BTM section. Do we want a lot of Gibb or not too much. I'm reading the posts for the first time in a couple days .... Has there been anything else said about a tribute or memorial service ( besides the going to England to get their CBE's. ) I also read that Mo's ashes may be buried in Fort Lauderdale? Besides the obvious, is there another reason this place has such significance to him? I would think he ( and the family ) would want them closer to home, like Miami, or even the Isle of Man or Manchester. Just some thoughts. And a request ... if there is anyone who can transcribe Robin's interview on February 7th, find an internet link to it, or just watch it and tell us the gist of what he is saying, that would be great. I have a genuine concern for them ... and just wonder how they all are doing. Having read Robin talk about how he intends to go back to work, has convinced me to get back into things I would normally be doing. Like Robin says, this is what Mo would want for all of us ... I am slowly able to smile when I think of the brothers ... like when I think of the video of David English trying to show the brothers how to dance on stage during the "Spirits" tour. Or how when they were doing a concert back in the early 1970's, Barry and Robin were getting ready to sing, and someone in the audience screamed. Maurice stood up and put a finger to his lips, hushed the person and went back to playing the piano ... those memories make me laugh now. And I can make it through most of their songs without getting upset ... its all part of the healing process. I hope you all are doing as well. Slowly on the road to recovery ...
